This whitewater rafting seminar will demonstrate and utilize the knowledge and skills needed to lead a multi-day rafting trip as a volunteer trip leader (technical mover).
Course cost is $375. This is an all-volunteer, cost-sharing trip. Register and pay now.
Topics include gear and its use, river navigation, boat handling, crew management and instruction, river rescues, shoreside camping, food planning and preparation, Leave No Trace wilderness ethics, transportation and crew leadership.
The Deschutes River is a beautiful area that you will want to return to again and again. The most enjoyable “seminar”/trip of the summer!
Additional: A pre-meeting/packing meeting will be planned.
