Day Nine
With eight straight days of riding, I've completed the first reach and I get a rest day.
That is, no riding miles. I have plenty to do: dial in the kit, deal with owies, and clean road grime off me, my clothes, and my bike.
It's also gear purge time. I’ll send a package home and lighten the load. I'm hauling some stuff wasn't such a good idea after all. Other stuff didn't get used in a week. I am lightening load before heading into the mountains tomorrow.
I’d love to hear from you. Donate to the ride and send along your words of encouragement and tell me why getting kids outside matters to you.
